People of the Indian subcontinent are Caucasians as much as Slavs, Nordic types, Celts, or Italians. Not to mention the classifications typically used for Caucasian vs Negroid vs Mongoloid is mixed up. Pale skin is more common the farther north one goes in the world because the amount of sunlight available decrease and the body has issues absorbing enough vitamins, eg vitamin D, for the people to survive as a breeding population.
In terms of DNA, no one is “pure” any race. Depending on who is using it, the meaning changes constantly.
It is a social context which has no significant meaning. There is no such thing as a race in a scientific context.
